This is the eighth consecutive year that the Medal of Honor recipients have joined the New York Stock Exchange traders on the trading floor to close the trading day.
On March 22, 2010, eleven Medal of Honor recipients, led by U.S. Marine Medal of Honor recipient, Barney Barnum, rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange after an active day of trading. They entered the trading floor to a rousing ovation from the traders. The traders realize that this premier bastion of free enterprise exists in part because of the great sacrifices of those who have protected our freedoms through the generations.
